Sailing on the Thames since 1896
A friendly sailing club on one of the most beautiful stretches of the river, between Henley and Wargrave.
RACING
Sunday afternoons, Wednesday evenings.
A small but competitive fleet races all season in a variety of dinghies. The river throws up tricky winds and interesting conditions — no two days are the same.

SOCIAL LIFE
More than just sailing.
BBQs, suppers, camping weekends, and Sunday afternoon tea on the lawn overlooking the river. You don’t have to sail to enjoy the club.

TRY SAILING
No boat? No experience? No problem.
Borrow one of our club dinghies for free and learn from our experienced members. Everyone starts somewhere — most of us started here.

A HIDDEN GEM ON THE THAMES
Henley Sailing Club sits on a quiet, tree-lined stretch of the river between Wargrave and Henley. We’ve been here since 1896 — long enough to know what makes a good sailing club.
We’re small by design. No big fleets, no waiting lists, no formality. Just good sailing, good company, and one of the best riverside settings you’ll find anywhere. Our clubhouse has panoramic views over the water, a bar, hot showers, and lawns that run down to the river.
Whether you’re an experienced sailor, a complete beginner, or just looking for a lovely spot on the river to spend a Sunday afternoon, you’re welcome here.
COME AND SEE US
The best way to find out if the club is right for you is to visit. Get in touch and we’ll show you around.
